James Lasie/Lacy/Lacey immigrated to Virginia from England in 1587 and settled on Roanoke Island (now in N.C.). John Lasey arrived in 1624 and William Lasey with his wife, Susan, immigrated to Southhampton, Va. in 1624. Many others followed.
