Andreas Killian (1702-1788) emigrated from Germany and landed at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he took the oath of allegiance in 1732. He migrated to North Carolina ca. 1747 and established a home near Newton, North Carolina. In his will, written in Lincoln County, North Carolina, in 1785 and probated in 1788, he named his wife, Mary, and twelve children. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, and elsewhere.

Andrew Hoover (Andreas Huber), 1723-1794, immigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1738, and married Margaret Pfautze about 1745. They had thirteen children, ca. 1746-1773. Andrew and Margaret Hoover migrated to Carrol County, Maryland, in 1746, and with their family migrated to Randolph County, North Carolina, ca. 1772. Descendants listed lived in North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and elsewhere.
