Caleb Benton was born 25 July 1706, the son of Ebenezer and Abigail Grave Benton of Guilford, Connecticut. He married (1) Sarah Stone (1717-1746). They had three children. He married (2) Thankful Chittenden, by which marriage he had two children. He married (3) widow Lucy (Munger) Hall. Caleb Benton, Jr. (1742-1831) his eldest child, was his only child who lived beyond infancy. He died 27 November 1782 and is buried at Guilford, Connecticut. Descendants...

Thomas Greaves (ca. 1650-ca. 1700) was "born . . . probably in Ireland although the original family seat seems to have been County Derby, England." He and his family immigrated from Ireland to Newcastle County, Delaware. Most descendants listed lived in Indiana and Minnesota.

John Mendenhall (1659-1743), a Quaker, emigrated from England to Concord, Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1682 and married twice. Decendants and relatives lived throughout the United States. Mildenhall was another spelling of the early English families and some descendants.
