Arthur Harold Alexander was born 8 February 1902 in Spokane Falls, Washington. His parents were Spencer Levi Alexander and Ella Grace Patrick. He moved to Hawaii with his mother and brothers in 1916. He married Signe E. Jarl 24 June 1928 in Hollywood, California. They had two sons, Arthur Marland and Stanley Jarl. Ancestors and relatives lived mainly in England, The Netherlands, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine and New York.

Charles (Karel) Krcal (1846/1848-1933) married Rosalee Kocar in 1868/1869, and the family immigrated to Chase County, Nebraska in 1893. They later moved to Ord, Nebraska, and after Rosalee's death in 1917, Charles married widow Frances Pochop Penas in about 1930. Most descendants used the surname of Kerchal. Descendants lived in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma, Montana, Minnesota, Oregon, Illinois, Connecticut, Iowa and elsewhere.

James Canady was born in about 1753 in Pennsylvania or Maryland. He married Rebecca Spurgeon, daughter of James Spurgeon (1699-1790) and Susannah, 3 January 1780 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. He died in 1823 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. His son, James Kenady and wife Matilda Browning, moved to Floyd County, Indiana in 1816.
