Chester Beauregard Roebuck, Sr., son of George Washington Roebuck and Jennie Virginia Speers, was born in 1893 in Steelton, Pennsylvania. He married Ethel Mae Hodge (1897-1973), daughter of Matilda Mae Hodge, in 1915 in Hagerstown, Maryland. They had twelve children. He died in 1945.

Picket Shiflet (ca. 1775-1849) was born in Virginia, son of John and Elizabeth Powell Shiflet. He married Lucretia Powell in Orange County, Virginia in 1795. He later died in Elbert County, Georgia. His brother, Powell Shiflet (ca. 1780-1850/51), was born in Orange County, Virginia and married Catherine McMullen there in 1797. He also died in Elbert County.
