John Simmons, son of Richard Simmons and Elizabeth, was born in about 1808 in Taunton, Somerset, England. He married Mary Ann Fulham, daughter of Laurence Fulham and Bridget McNamara, in 1839 in Wollombi, New South Wales, Australia. They had eight children. He died in 1895 in Merriwa, New South Wales.

Wilhelm Lehmer was born ca. 1700 in Wetterau, Germany. His two sons, Johannes and Wilhelm, immigrated to Pennsylvania in the mid 18th century, eventually settling in York County. A descendant, Jacob Lehmer (1787-1841), was born in Somerset Pennsylvania and married Barbara Frease. They later moved to Shanesville, Ohio. Descendants lived in Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, California, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, and elsewhere.

Frederick Hensel (ca. 1774-ca. 1812) was born in Switzerland and immigrated to Somerset County, Pennsylvania. He married Julia Ann Penrod (born 1778). After Frederick's death, the family moved to Tuscarawas County, Ohio. One son, James (1807-1899), married Lydia Fackler (1804-1845), Mary Frease, and Catherine Frease Whitney. He moved to Bureau County, Illinois in 1853. Descendants lived in Illinois, Nebraska, Kansas, and elsewhere.

"The first record of the Wallaces in Maryland was of one Mathew Wallace, believed to be the progenitor of all the Wallaces in the State, who came there in the latter part of the Seventeenth century, and in 1694 was granted a patent for a tract of land in Somerset County Md., called Kirkmaster, the first patent granted to a Wallace in the state"-Chapter 1, i, 1st page.
