Description

James Patton (ca. 1752-ca. 1817) was born in Augusta County, Virginia, son of Henry Patton Sr. He married Florence Graham in 1773 in Botetourt County, Virginia. They lived in Montgomery County and later moved to Kentucky. Descendants lived in Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Oklahoma, and elsewhere.

George Patton may have been born in Scotland. He immigrated to America before the American Revolution. He served in the military for seven years. He married a Miss Hughes. They had at least two, sons, George and Charles. Charles was born in about 1775. He married Ann McCoy in about 1795 in Hagerstown, Maryland. They had twelve known children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana and Oklahoma.

John Patton was born in about 1690, probably in County Derry, Ireland. He married Miss (Sarah?) Rodgers in Ireland and they emigrated in about 1730. They had eight known children. They settled first in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and later moved to Augusta County, Virginia. He married Agnes Snodgrass in about 1754 and had two known children. He died in about 1757.
