In order to locate the compiled service records of a soldier, the unit in which he served must be known, or located thru the use of an index. The library has a state index on microfilm to these compiled service records of Confederate soldiers from Texas. This index is listed at the end of this record. The Circuit Court of the Northern District of California was abolished in 1911. The cases were given to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, in 1912.
