Description
The name McLean originated in Scotland and originally it was spelled Macghillean, Maclean, McClean, McLean, McLaine, McLane, etc. Donald McLean came to America in the 18th century from the Isle of Mull. He settled in eastern New Jersey on 2 October 1770. He married Lucretia Hodgkinson ca 1790 in New Jersey. They moved to Alexandria, Virginia and lived there until their death in the early 1820s.

Description
Fitzhugh Lee was born into two prominent Virginia families, the Lees and the Masons. Grandson of Henry "Light Horse Harry" Lee and nephew of Robert E. Lee, he served in the United States and Confederate armies, rising to the rank of major general in both. He later was elected governor of Virginia and served as Consul General in Cuba prior to the Spanish American War.
