Description
Hughes County covers a large area so at times there were satellite courts and records were recorded in towns other than the county seat. There are probate case files from Gerty and from Dustin. The files from Dustin cover 1906-1910 and are included at the beginning of the records. The files from Gerty, which cover 1906-1913, are listed next.
Description
The arrangement of these records can be confusing. Some files were not available when the filming started and were filmed later out of order. In a few instances, files were filmed twice. Some files were not filmed not because they were missing, but because they contained confidential information.
Description
Many probate cases contain documents created over a period of months or years. The date given in the library catalog is the date the case was filed.
