Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Royce (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from England, Wales, and possibly Ireland and Scotland. Some related families came from Germany and Prussia. Some focus is on (but not limited to) Robert Royce (1630-1676) and his wife Mary Sims (d. 1696), and children, Jonathan, Sarah, Nehemiah, Nathaniel, Samuel, Isaac, and Ruth. Robert left England, and settled in Stratford, Connecticut by 1647. His family also lived in the Connecticut towns of New London, Norwich, and Wallingford. Royces also lived in Massachusetts and New Jersey in the 1600s. In the 1700s, some settled in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. During the 1800s, some lived in Prague (Bohemia), Quebec (Canada), and in California, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in British Columbia (Canada), and in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and elsewhere.

Issuing Body
The Royce Family Association was founded in the late 1920s by Miss Helen Elizabeth Royce. It became inactive ca. 1951. The Royce Family Association was revived ca. 1979, and held its first reunion at Wallingford, Connecticut in June 1981.
