Johannes Hertzler was born in Swwitzerland. In 1870 he brought his wife, three sons, and his father to America settling in Pennsylvania. Information on many of his descendants is given in this volume. Many of these individuals belonged to Mennonite groups. Today descendants still reside in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio, and elsewhere in the United States.
