Description
Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Kemp (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from Bavaria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Prussia, and Scotland. Some lines are traced back into the 11th Centruy. Some immigrant ancestors settled in Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Virginia in the 1500-1600's. In the 1700's, some settled in the Bahamas and Barbados (West Indies), in Ontario (Canada), and in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Vermont. Some ancestors were Baptists, French Huguenots, Latter-day Saints, and Quakers. During the 1800's, some migrated to Arkansas, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin. Later descendants also lived in British Columbia (Canada), and in Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Washington, West Virginia and elsewhere.
