Description
"Thomas Warthen (I) as recorded by family tradition was the first Warthen to immigrate from Wales to Lincolnshire, England, thence to America in the "good ship Constance" with Lord Baltimore, Calverts, etc about 1635. and settled in Maryland at Port Tobbacco, now called Chapel Point, Md."--P. 2. (Quoted from a Warthen ancestry chart prepared by Fannie Lou Irwin (Mrs. C. Findlay). It is said that Thomas remained in Maryland. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and elsewhere.
