Description
"After many years of extended research on many surnames, it is not our intent to write a family history on only one surname, but to do a summary of our direct line using several surnames. Since many of our ancestors were Quakers, we are indeed fortunate to have the Quaker records of the various states where they lived"-- Preface and dedication.
Description

Jesse Edgar Stracener was born and died in Texas, and was a direct descendant in the fifth generation of Henry Stracener Jr. (ca.1791-1842), who married Susannah Knight and lived in St. Clair County, Alabama. Susannah and the family moved to Texas after Henry Jr. died. Arranged in alphabetical order by surnames of ancestors.
