Description
The Tolson family originates from England. One early ancestor was Benjamin Tolson (1693-1759), who was born in Northumberland Co., Virginia. He lived on a farm near the area of Wicomico. He and his wife Mary were parents of seven children. He married (2) Elizabeth Dunnaway in 1752. Sometime in the 1730's Benjamin moved his family to Stafford County, Virginia. Includes allied families of Combs, Harrison, Bullitt, Ratcliffe, Herndon etc.
