Description
John Philip Humrichaus/Humrighouse (1785-1860) was born in Prussia. He emigrated to the USA and settled first in York County, Pennsylvania. They later settled near New Philadelphia on Stone Creek in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio. He married Johanna Marie (unknown) (1784-1862) and they were the parents of six children: Anna Elisabeth (Strickmaker) Johanna Marie (Neuberg), Caroline Elisabeth (Neuberg), Catherine Elisabeth (Haines), John Jacob Humrighause and Sarah (Hackenbruck). Their son John Jacob Humrighause (1821-1903) married Elizabeth Ashbaugh (1825-1916), the daughter of Daniel and Ann Christina Ashbaugh of York Co., Pennsylvania. They were the parents of ten children. Several generations of ancestors and descendants are given.
