Description
Jan Van der Poel and his wife (name unknown) lived near Leiden, Holland, in Zoeterwoude. They had four children who were probably born between 1660-1680. This traces some of the descendants of their second child, Dirk Jansz, who married Marijtje Reyersd Van Moerkerken (d. 1727). An eighth generation grandson, Joannes Everadus Vander Poel, came to America (Kalamazoo, Mich.) in 1912. His son, John, married O'Niece Gertrude O'Toole, daughter of Walter O'Toole and Eliza Mulvany.
Description
Patrick and James Tool, sons of Lawrence Tool and Anna Murphy, came to America from Ireland in 1853 or 1854. Patrick was married in Ireland to Margaret Trainor. Their granddaughter was O'Niece Gertrude O'Toole. Descendants and relatives of these families lived in Michigan, New York, and elsewhere.
