Description
Francis Andrus(s) (d.1663) immigrated from England to New Haven, Connecticut and moved to Fairfield, Connecticut in 1638. He married Anna Smith and they had ten children. Stephen Andress (1747-1820), a direct descendant of Francis in the fifth generation, immigrated with his family from Connecticut to Upper Canada (Ontario). Includes Andress/Andrus families descending from the possible brother of Francis, John Andrus (1616-1682), and also a section on some German Andresses beginning with John Andress (1833-1879) who emigrated from Affelterbach, Germany to the United States in 1847. Includes Andress families in Canada, the United States and Great Britain.
