Morgan Bryan emigrated from Ireland to Pennysylvania where he married Martha Strode in 1719. They had seven sons and two daughters. About 1728 or 1730, he obtained a grant of land on the Opequan Creek, Virginia, and moved there with his family. In 1748, they moved to the Yadkin River country in North Carolina where he died in 1763. Descendants lived in North Carolina and Kentucky.

Morgan Bryan (1671-1763) was born in Denmark. His parents were Francis Bryan III and Sarah Brinker. He emigrated from Ireland in about 1718 and settled in Pennsylvania. He married Martha Strode in about 1719. They had nine children. He died in 1763 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ireland, England, Virginia and North Carolina.
