William Henry Kirkman (1860-1939) was the son of Bartley William Kirkman and Nancy Watkins of Shelbyville, Shelby County, Illinois. He married two times: 1) Della Retta Tripp in 1881 and 2) Myrtle Gertrude Guinn in 1903. Della died in 1898. Three sons and one daughter made up the first family. Description
William Ap Thomas immigrated (probably from Wales) to Elizabeth and Essex Counties, Virginia between 1637 and 1665. Ezekiel Thomas (1840-1917) and John Thomas (1846-1928) were direct descendants who moved from Georgia to Texas. Descendants of William Ap Thomas lived Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, California, Oregon, Washington and elsewhere.

The Hayman name was found in Devonshire as early as 1312. Henry Hayman (ca, 1634-1685) immigrated to Virginia in 1650. After his marriage to Elinore(?) and the birth of his first son in 1663, they moved to Maryland, where five more children were born.
