Description
William Douglas was born in 1610 in Scotland and died on 26 July 1682. His father was probably Robert Douglas. He married Ann Mattle in 1636. She was the daughter of Thomas Mattle. William, together with his wife and their two children, immigrated to New England in 1640 and settled in Boston. In 1660 the family moved to New London, Massachusetts. Ann later married Thomas Bishop. She died at New London about 1689.

Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of John Stephenson. He was born in 1796. He married Jane Brown, daughter of James Brown. She died after 1837 and before 1848. John may have remarried to Elizabeth. He died in 1848 in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. John and Jane were the parents of three children. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and elsewhere.
