The Clevenger family of Clayton, New Jersey were, for over a hundred years, considered to be some of the best glass blowers in the state. In 1869 William Henry Clevenger went into the glass industry. He was followed shortly thereafter by his three sons, Henry Thomas Clevenger, Lorenzo Clevenger and William Ebert Clevenger. They eventually started Clevenger Brothers glass company which operated until 1965.

Robert Griffith (ca.1805-1866) married Eleanor Watkins in 1820 and immigrated in 1837 from Wales to Allen County, Ohio. Descendants lived in Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, Arizona and elsewhere.

John McCorkle (1753-1814) was born in Augusta County, Virginia and moved about 1801-1805 to Kentucky with his brother and his small family. He was killed by Indians in 1814 and his wife and children eventually moved to Clay and Ray Counties, Missouri. Thomas McBee (ca.1760/1770-ca.1835) married Rachel Riley in 1797 in Libertytown, Frederick County, Maryland, and moved to Stark County, Ohio. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Washington and elsewhere.
