Jacques Du Bois (1628-ca.1677), a Huguenot, immigrated to The Netherlands, and married Pierrone Bentyn at Leyden. They immigrated in 1675 to Esopus (now Kingston), New York. Descendants lived throughout the United States and elsewhere.

Abraham Hasbrouck immigrated to Ulster County, New York from the Palatinate in 1675. He and Marie Duou (Maria Deyo) were married in 1676. They helped establish New Paltz which was part of the large land grant given to the Huguenots. Descendants remained chiefly in that area.

Hugo Freer, the earliest known ancestor, was probably born in Normandy. He died 1698 in New Paltz, N.Y. He was married to Marie Haye, who died 1676 in Hurley. He married (2) Jannetje Wibau (d. 1693). Hugo, his wife, Marie and their three sons came to New Amsterdam in 1676 and settled at Hurley. Descendants live in New York, Michigan, Ohio, Canada and elsewhere.

Louis Bevier (ca. 1647-1720), a Huguenot, was probably born in the vicinity of Lille, France. He married Marie LeBlanc, a native of Lille, in 1673 at Speyer, Germany.
