Description
Robert Smith (1626-1693) immigrated to America in 1638. He was born at Kirton, Lincolnshire, Eng. and died at Boxford, Mass. He was possibly the Robert Smith who was an indentured servant to John Whittingham. In 1656, he married Mary French and they were the ancestors of Joseph and Hyrum Smith, as well as of the author.

Gertrud Kiefer Spaniol Fehr (d.1849) was the daughter of Michael Kiefer and Maria Elizabetha Koch of Buschfeld in Landkreis Saar Louis von Stadt Schlmelz, Saarland, Germany. Four of her children emigrated to northern Illinois shortly after her death. Her fifth child, Johannetta and her husband Peter Klaeser/Glasier did not emigrate until in 1873. William Eayers (ca. 1670-1742/3) was born and married in Ireland. He and his wife, Margaret, had at least seven children. They died in Londonderry, New Hampshire. Descendants lived in New England, New York, Ohio, Florida and elsewhere. Several of them were veterans of the Revolutionary War and others fought in the Civil War.

John Tinley (1746-1814) married Mary White in 1771. They had seven children. Their son, John (1774-1859), married Jane Glasier in 1797. Their daughter, Mary (1775-1849), married John Glasier in 1796. They lived in South Hykeham and Morton. Traces their ancestors, descendants and relatives in Lincoln, Nottingham and elsewhere.
