Description
Edward Houchens was living in New Kent County, Virginia, by 1686. His descendant, Leright Houchin (1825-1893), was born in Gibson County, Indiana, the son of Jesse Houchin (1798-1861). He married Sarah Davis (1827-1897), daughter of Jesse and Nancy Mason Davis, in 1846. They had three sons, 1847-1853. The family lived on a farm in Pike County, Indiana. Descendants lived in Indiana and elswhere.

Thomas Cornell, son of Richard Cornell and Mary, was born in 1593 in BUmstead, Essex, England. He married Rebecca in 1618. They had sixteen children. They emigrated in 1638 and settled in Portsmouth Rhode Island. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York, New Jersey, West Virginia, Tennessee and Ohio.
