Amos McCurry (1794-1885), son of William McCurry and Elizabeth Ledford, was born in North Carolina, and died in Mountain City, Rabun Co., Ga. He married Rachel Webb (1800-1883), daughter of Jeremiah Webb and Hannah Sweezy, 1820 in Rutherford Co., N.C. She was also born in North Carolina. They were parents of ten children.
