Jacob Markley, 1701-1784, immigrated to Pennsylvania and settled in Montgomery County. He married Barbara Dodderer in 1722. After her death, he married Barbara Kausch in 1739. Descendants lived principally in Montgomery County and surrounding areas, a few moving to Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and other states.

Josef Birk was born 25 March 1801 in Ottersweier, Germany. He was the son of Franz Ignaz Birk and Maria Anna Himmel. Joseph immigrated to the United States sometime prior to his marriage to Genoveva Fuss 1 October 1823. They lived in Dubois Co., Indiana and were the parents of nine children. Josef died 9 February 1865 in Jasper, Indiana. Descendants lived primarily in Indiana and elsewhere.

Johann Peter Klinger was born 3 November 1773 in Reading, Pennsylvania. His parents were Johann Philip Klinger (1723-1811) and Eva Elisabeth Beilstein (1730-ca. 1815). He married Catharina Steinbruch , daughter of Adam Steinbrecher and Anna Margaretha Hoffman, in about 1791 in Lykens Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. They had eleven children. Johann Andreas Strassburger (b.1716) was the eldest son of Johann Ulrich Strassburger and his first wife, Maria Elizabetha Flücken. James Schofield (1833-1896) and his brother, Samuel Schofield (b.1834), emigrated from England to Pennsylvania and then to Cincinnati, Ohio. Adam Barner was born in about 1743, probably in Berne, Switzerland. He emigrated in 1758 and settled in Pennsylvania. He married Maria Euphronica "Fanny" Conrad Bunn in about 1766. They had seven known children. Adam died in 1818.
