William Scurlock migrated from Wales before the Revolution and settled in Spotsylvania county, Virginia. He was a Baptist preacher and accumulated considerable property which was left to his oldest son, William. The first Masons of Lambton County, Ontario originated in Lancashire, England. Two sons of William Mason (b. 1820), who were half brothers, immigrated to Canada. Abraham Lemaster (ca. 1638- 1722) was born in Ste. Marie's Parish on the Isle of Jersey to John and Sarah Lemaster. He died in Charles County, Maryland. He was the father of six children. He came to America as a servant to John Smith ca. 1661. Descendants lived mainly in Maryland, Kentucky, South Carolina, Indiana and Texas.
